01 · Learning at Kite Beach

No experience? No problem.

Everyone learns differently. You’ll start by understanding the wind, the gear, and the basics of safety before moving on to kite control, water practice, and eventually the board when your progress and the conditions allow.

Lessons are scheduled around your level and the wind conditions, not simply around a fixed time of day.

04 · How you progress

From your first steps to the board.

01

Understand the wind

Before getting on the water, you learn about the conditions, the gear, and the key safety rules.

02

Build kite control

Learn how the kite responds and develop control through simple, progressive exercises.

03

Take your skills to the water

Once you have the fundamentals, you begin applying what you’ve learned in the water.

04

Move on to the board

When you’re ready, you’ll progress toward the board based on your skills and the wind conditions.

05 · Schedule & conditions

The wind is part of the lesson.

Kite Beach is open every day from 9:30 AM to 6:20 PM.

Lesson times depend on the student’s level, the type of lesson, group availability, and the wind conditions.

For beginners, some of the more theory-focused parts of the lesson may be scheduled in the morning when conditions are lighter.

06 · Age & experience

Beginners are welcome.

The minimum age is 8, as long as the child can maintain the attention needed for the lesson and has permission from a parent or guardian.

There is no fixed maximum age for adults. What matters is willingness, individual ability, and a responsible assessment of each person.

Ages 8+ · Beginners welcome · Everyone progresses at their own pace

07 · IKO Certification

Certification based on real progress.

Eligibility for an IKO certificate depends on the student’s progress and the instructor’s assessment.

If the instructor believes the student has reached the appropriate level of skill, safety, and independence, they can guide them through the certification process.

Ask Luis or your instructor about the certification path that fits your level.

08 · Booking

Reserve your spot in advance.

Booking ahead is recommended, especially during high season, when lesson availability can fill up quickly.
